What are Military Associations?

Military associations are usually founded and managed by experienced military professionals or their family members. In addition to active duty, the greater military community includes active duty, guard and reserve, retirees, veterans as well as spouses and family members. 

A military support organization is any organization that supports service members and military families through aid in areas such as employment beyond the military, education, financial assistance and overall well-being. It is important to note the difference between a military support organization that supports active-duty service members and their families, versus a veteran organization, which supports service members after they have left service.

There are a large number of military associations devoted to serving different segments of the community for lobbying efforts, fraternity and support. Some associations fund their activities with their membership dues and/or sponsorships. Some will also sell customized merchandise through a physical storefront or an online shop, while others will need to offset costs by fundraising. We have coins, lapel pins, apparel, keychains, bags, tents and if we don’t carry it we can probably get it. Need an award for a special guest or speaker? We do that too!
