For the two-to-five recruiter office and the regions above it — station branding for new offices, hand-to-hand handouts, school programs, DEP and referral recognition, waterfront and boat show kits, and the awards that mark a tour.
Coast Guard recruiting is the smallest of the five and the fastest-growing. FY2025 closed at 5,204 active-duty enlisted accessions — 121% of a 4,300 target, and the highest since 1991 — alongside 101% on officers and 104% on reserves. The command went from 257 recruiters in early FY2021 to a target of 500 by summer FY2026, opened seven new offices in a single year, and lifted marketing spend from $7.1 million in FY2020 to over $24 million in FY2024. Force Design 2028 wants fifteen thousand more people. Seven new offices a year is a standing order for seven new sets of everything on this page.
The fiscal year opens 1 October. With seven new offices opened in FY2025 alone, a meaningful share of Coast Guard recruiting real estate is furnishing itself for the first time rather than replacing anything.

Recruiting operating and marketing funds
A new office fit-out is a bigger single buy than a station replacement. Watch the micro-purchase threshold and consolidate for price, not to duck it.
Most Coast Guard offices run two to five recruiters, which means everything travels and nothing sits unused. These are the items that go in the bag to a school, a college fair or a marina.

Appropriated recruiting funds
Small offices still need the paper trail. Record what was bought, for whom, and under which authority.

Federal law gives recruiters the same access to secondary schools as any college, under 20 U.S.C. § 7908. Community colleges and maritime programs are the Coast Guard's natural ground and are under-worked by everyone else.

No recruiting activity and no service-related products at an ASVAB CEP session (USMEPCOM Reg 601-4).
The Coast Guard's Everyone-is-a-Recruiter program pays a $500 enhanced referral bonus and leans on liaisons at units across the service, who are supplied with materials from local recruiting offices. That is a distribution network, and it needs something to distribute.

Recruiting support funds; recognition items under § 2261
Material supplied to liaisons leaves your hands and turns up anywhere. Everything should carry a call to action and stand on its own.
The Coast Guard recruits where the water is. Boat shows, waterfront festivals, marinas, air shows and coastal community days are the events where a cutter or an MH-65 is already the draw and the table just has to hold people there.

Marketing and local event funds
Outdoor waterfront events are hard on merchandise. Specify for sun and salt, not for an indoor career fair.

Force Design 2028 targets fifteen thousand additional people by FY2028, and the recruiting footprint is growing to match — seven offices opened in FY2025 across Miami, Los Angeles, Long Island, Austin, Grand Rapids, Cincinnati and Davenport. Each one needs a wall, a window and a table.

Standardise the fit-out across offices before you buy the second one. It is cheaper and it looks like a service rather than seven shops.
4 August is the Coast Guard's birthday. Add advancement, change of command, retirement and the end of a recruiting tour, and there is a steady ceremonial load on a small command.

Unit funds for mementos; § 2261 for formal recognition
Appropriated-fund recognition stays under $50 and inside the § 2261 item classes. Anything else runs on unit funds.
10 U.S.C. § 2261 authorises commemorative coins, medals, trophies, badges, flags, posters and similar items under $50 each for recruiting and retention.
The FAR micro-purchase threshold since 1 October 2025 (90 FR 41872). Office-level cardholder limits are set locally and are typically well below the FAR maximum.
FAR 13.003(b)(1) sets aside every acquisition above the micro-purchase threshold and at or below $350,000 for small business.
COMDTINST 1100.2I (3 June 2025) governs Coast Guard recruiting and contains no monetary limits or promotional-item rules in its published text. Confirm with your Recruiting Command logistics division.
Coast Guard Recruiting Command runs four divisions at headquarters — Operations, Accessions, Marketing and Logistics — with Operations overseeing five regional networks. Marketing and Logistics are where a promotional buy actually lands, and a Recruiter-in-Charge is usually asking through them rather than buying alone.
COMDTINST 1100.2I, the current recruiting instruction dated 3 June 2025, contains no monetary limits or promotional-item rules in its published text — so no, not one we can point you to. What does apply: recognition items under 10 U.S.C. § 2261 stay below $50, the FAR micro-purchase threshold is $15,000 since 1 October 2025, and your cardholder limit is likely lower. Check with Recruiting Command Logistics before ordering against an assumption.
We decorate from artwork you supply and are authorised to use. Federal service marks require licensing for commercial use, and decorations, medals and ribbons may not be reproduced on merchandise at all. A unit's own emblem, supplied by the unit, is the normal path. We will say plainly that our stock library contains no Coast Guard pewter — recognition pieces here run on blank crests decorated with your art.
Yes, and that is the better way to buy it. Banner, table cover, backdrop, wall pieces, window signage and desk items quoted together price better than seven separate small orders — and standardising across offices means the ninth one looks like the first. Note FAR 13.003(c)(2): consolidate for price, never to split a requirement under a threshold.
Proofs are free and unlimited until you approve one. Screen printing and embroidery are quickest; pewter casting and coin production take longest, because both start from a new die. Give us your in-hand date first and we build the production schedule around it.
Listed per product and varying by process. Pewter and coin minimums are higher than printed goods. Below a minimum we will tell you and suggest the closest item that works.
Ask and we will answer in writing as of that day. We make no registration or schedule claims here. Acquisitions from the micro-purchase threshold to $350,000 are reserved for small business under FAR 13.003(b)(1).
Coins, pewter, apparel, drinkware, displays and awards, all made in house with free unlimited proofs. Give us your in-hand date and we build the schedule around it.
